  • Does getting a Brazilian wax hurt question mark
The answer is NO! You might have scanned the internet and found crazy stories about Brazilian waxing. Not sure how many are true and how many are made up. It is however a little uncomfortable the second the hair is removed. That is it. We specialize in Brazilians and we are as comfortable as it gets... so relax! You are in good hands. Most clients agree that the discomfort was not nearly as much as they thought. Most agree it was not bad at all, and ALL agree it was worth it not to have to shave anymore.
  • What sanitation measures are used to assure a safe Brazilian wax?
This is a great question! Our salons are meticulous when it comes to sanitation. Here are some of the precautions taken: Never use the same applicator twice. Each and every time our waxing applicator touches your skin to apply the wax, it is thrown away. This is to avoid cross contamination. Gloves ARE ALWAYS WARN. Sanitary bed coverings. Hospital grade sanitation for all our instruments like tweezers.
  • Can I get wax if I am overweight?
YES YOU CAN! Experienced therapist are comfortable, waxing small, medium and large clients.
  • How long does my hair need to be in order to get waxed?
Your hair will need to be at least 1/4 inch long. This is at least 10 days of growth after shaving. 2 weeks is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and preferable. This will assure you a great waxing service and will be more comfortable.
  • Can I get waxed if I am shy?
YES YOU CAN! If you're embarrassed about getting waxed, please remember, your wax is being performed by highly qualified professionals. They work quickly and efficiently while maintaining your privacy.. Keep in mind that what might seem personal to you is a routine day at the office professional salons. Your therapist will do their best to maintain your privacy and make you as comfortable as possible.
  • Does Brazilian waxing get easier ?
YES! ABSOLUTELY! 😀 We understand that your first time getting waxed, especially a Brazilian, can be a little nerve racking. We take extra time to explain what we are doing and why. We also remove the hair is very small strips to maximize your comfort.
  • Is there anything I could do to make my Brazilian wax more comfortable?
We have heard that clients receive a very comfortable service after they take 1 or 2 pain relievers one hour prior to their waxing service.
  • How old do I need to be to get a Brazilian wax?
Brazilian Waxing is generally not performed on anyone under the age if 18. Every salon has their own criteria, but this is the general rule.
  • What is the difference between a Brazilian wax and a bikini wax?
Throughout the past few years people are trying to get fancy with their names. Not everyone does the waxing the same. Some salons offer a Brazilian Wax but only remove the hair from the outside like a deep Bikini Wax. Others that perform Brazilians don’t wax the bum. It’s hard to know what you are going to get when you go to a salon. For the most part, most salons in our network will consider a Brazilian wax every thing removed from the front to the back. If you would like to leave a strip or a small triangle in front that would be considered a Brazilian wax as well. Just let your therapist know your preferences.
  • Is it unhealthy to remove pubic hair?
The answer is NO! We don’t know why we have pubic hair! It does not keep us warm and it does not protect us. It seems as though the prevailing theory relates to pheromones — scents that the body produces that can be sexually stimulating to others. In prehistoric days this might have been useful but today serves no purpose at all! Another theory is that it signals a person of the opposite sex that you are ready to take on a partner for reproduction. Once again, not very useful in today’s day and age. In short, all the research by the greatest minds in the world (pretty funny!) STILL cannot figure out why we have pubic hair. To date, we have not found any factual evidence that removing your pubic hair is unhealthy in any way. Bottom line! Take it off and be more comfortable.
  • Why doesn't every salon offer Brazilian waxing?
You can certainly get your Brazilian wax done anywhere that will provide it, HOWEVER, there are a few things you should know. Most places do not offer Brazilian waxing for a good reason. It is much more difficult to perform then a simple leg or underarm. The hair grows in many different directions and can be VERY uncomfortable if removed incorrectly. Most estheticians are not formally trained in Brazilian waxing. Most have learned Brazilian Waxing from a video tape. They use the wrong wax, incorrect removal methods, unsanitary procedures and simply do not perform enough Brazilian Waxes to be good. They are more expensive.
  • Is it possible to remove the embarrassing hairs around my nipples?
I know this can be embarrassing. Some have a lot and some have a little. The bottom line is Yes. A lot of times this is not offered on specific menu items, but many therapist are comfortable removing nipple hair safely. Nipple hair needs to go! The easiest and fastest way is to wax them off. This is quick. Takes about 2 to 3 Minutes Totally painless. Hard to believe but it is. 100% Painless Special wax is used on this sensitive area We never wax directly on the areola All you need to do is ask.
  • Is waxing seasonal?
No! People who get Brazilian like the feeling of having ZERO hair with ZERO stubble, razor burn or irritation. This is why most customers continue year round. This also minimizes the discomfort associated with waxing. It gets faster and more comfortable after each waxing.
  • Well, getting a Brazilian wax increase romantic sensitivity?
Yes, dramatically. The difference is amazing. When you remove the hair you have many more sensors on the skin exposed. This greatly enhances the sensitivity of touch. Many clients say they notice a huge difference just wearing their panties. Not having any hair in the bikini area certainly has many advantages.
  • Is there a better time of the month to get waxed?
YES! It is best to be in the center of your cycle. A few days before or after will make it a bit more sensitive for some girls. Most girls will not notice a difference. You can STILL get waxed when you have your period as long as you use a tampon. Happens all the time. However, please check with the salon directly as each location has their own preferences.
  • Does it hurt more if your hair is longer?
Your waxing will NOT hurt more if it is longer. The fact is that the legnth has nothing to do with the discomfort associated with waxing. The discomfort has to do with how much hair you have and how long it's been since your last wax. This isn due to the growth cycles. NOTE: It can be more uncomfortable to get waxed if your hair is to short. If your hair is short the wax can't grab the hair effectively. This will cause a longer wax service that is more uncomfortable.
  • What is worn during the Brazilian wax?
G-strings are not automatically provided during a Brazilian wax. Many therapist work quickly and working around a garment will actually be more uncomfortable for you. Your modesty is always preserved during your waxing service! Please keep in mind that your wax is done by professionals who are used to this service.
  • I have little white dots that look like whiteheads? What is that?
This is very rare, however if you do get white dots this is only your body's defense mechanism reacting to the hair follicle being removed. This is normal and should subside in a day or so.
  • How long will it take for the redness to go away?
The redness after a Brazilian wax should go away in a few hours but may last up to a few days depending on how sensitive your skin is. The more regular you are with your waxing the less redness you will get. This is all based on your skin type. Customers with sensitive skin will stay red longer then customers without sensitive skin. This actually means your hair has been removed directly from the root (a good thing). Some people get these white dots but most don't. That should not happen on your 2nd waxing as your body adjusts to the hair being removed from the root.
  • Oh my second Brazilian wax be easier than the first one?
    Yes! Absolutely and most definitely!
  • When should I come back for my next waxing appointment?
To properly maintain your Brazilian wax, appointments are recommended between 4 to 5 weeks. If you use the EpilaDerm system your appointments can be even longer
  • How long will my Brazilian wax last?
Your Brazilian wax should last between 2 to 3 weeks before you see any hair growth. You will probably see hair growth a little sooner after your 1st Brazilian due to the hair growth cycles. After you get waxed a few times you will notice the hair takes longer to re-grow. This is due to the fact that you have hair growing in many different growth cycles before you get waxed. These cycles change when you get waxed and allow for longer time periods between waxing's.
  • Should I shave between appointments?
NO! When you shave you cause the hair to grow thicker and can cause ingrown hairs. Waxing changes the structure of the hair and causes the hair to grow back softer and finer. Regular waxing and proper maintenance ensures soft skin, fine hair and less ingrowns.
